Big changes coming for 87th Street Parkway

Construction is expected to get underway later this year on a major road improvement project to prepare for the development of Lenexa City Center. The east and westbound lanes of 87th Street Parkway, from Renner Boulevard to Lennox Drive, will be reconstructed as a divided roadway, which eventually will have a city block built between them. At the same time, improvements to Renner Boulevard north of 87th Street will be constructed.
