The Police Department offers a free Patrol Ride-Along program to Lenexa residents. Participants must be at least 18 years of age, or 16 years of age and accompanied by a parent or guardian if the ride-along is part of a school project or class assignment.
To apply for a ride-along, complete the Ride-Along application and waiver form and email, fax or mail it to the Lenexa Police Department at the address provided on the form. Personal information contained in this form will be accessed by Police personnel only for the purpose of determining an applicant’s qualification for this program. Applicants must read the form in its entirety and provide a signature acknowledging the requirements for participation, including dress code and background check.
Applicants who have a history of criminal activity or problematic contacts with the police are not eligible for participation in this program. Ride-alongs are not scheduled on weekends and will not exceed four hours in duration. The program is offered on a space-available basis.
