Kansas License Plates are required on all vehicles garaged or kept in Kansas. Vehicle License plates are issued by the County Treasurer's Motor Vehicle Office. Persons operating or storing qualifying vehicles without current Kansas Vehicle License Plates may be required to pay various fines, fees and taxes. Changes of address must be reported within ten (10) days. New Kansas residents are required to register their vehicles and obtain plates within 90 days of moving into the State.
