Zero-tolerance policy
In keeping with Lenexa Police Department's primary mission to provide a safe environment for all citizens, we maintain a zero-tolerance policy in the enforcement of underage drinking.
It's the law
Persons under the age of 21 years who are in possession of alcohol, or persons who furnish alcohol to anyone under the legal age of 21 will be charged. Under state law, past consumption of alcohol with evidence observed by police is tantamount to being in possession.
