Residential Certificate of Occupancy
A Certificate of Occupancy (CO) certifies that the residence has received an approved final inspection by a City inspector. Under no circumstances should a residence be occupied without first obtaining an approved final inspection or temporary certificate of occupancy (TCO).

To receive your certificate, simply contact the Building Codes Division to arrange for a final inspection. A separate application is not required and no fees are associated with the certificate. Once the residence has been approved, the CO/final inspection ticket will be left on site for the owner and/or builder.
