Old Town Lighting

Lenexa holiday lighting ceremony

Event will take place across from Old Town at the Lenexa Community Center

Spectators at this year’s annual holiday lighting ceremony on Friday, December 4 will enjoy a new vantage point to watch the lights come on at Old Town. Crowds are invited to gather at 6:30 p.m. in the parking lot between the Lenexa Community Center and Lenexa Senior Center for a panoramic view of the lighting of Old Town’s historic row of buildings.

This long-time holiday tradition has also been updated to include new features and activities. After the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus, the event will move to the warm indoors of the community center where visitors of all ages can enjoy a variety of festive entertainment, including school choir performances, visits with Santa, holiday refreshments and dance performances. The holiday secret shop for kids where kids can purchase gifts for under $5 is set to return.

The Lenexa Community Center is located at 13420 Oak Street. For more information, call (913) 541-0209.
