Lenexa Midnight Bike & Hike

Sponsored by Lenexa Parks and Recreation and the Lenexa Optimist Club

The family-friendly Midnight Bike and Hike has been a Lenexa community tradition for over 15 years. Over the years, the event course has evolved into a six-mile bike ride with a 1.5-mile hike option at the beautiful Black Hoof Park at Lake Lenexa (90th and Monticello Road). The July 2011 bike ride course was a six-mile route, with an option to repeat a four-mile portion of the route for a longer ride. Riders could choose to participate in the optional trail hike along Lake Lenexa out to the dam spillway, and the all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast following the ride.
