RESPONSIBILITIES - The Legal Department represents the City and its officials. The Legal Department handles lawsuits and claims brought by and against the City; drafts and reviews ordinances, resolutions, contracts, bonds and other written instruments; and provides advice and legal opinions to the City Administrator, City Staff, as well as to the Mayor and City Council. CITY CODE – The online City Code is a user-friendly and efficient way to find answers to questions about the laws of the City of Lenexa.
