A case may be resolved through a plea agreement or diversion program.
To have a moving violation amended to a non-moving violation, you must appear on your court date and speak with a prosecutor about the violation not being recorded on your driving record. The prosecutor will consider your driving record and the circumstances surrounding your traffic offense. If the prosecutor agrees to amend your moving violation, fine amounts are generally doubled and all fines and fees are to be paid immediately. Prosecutors are available at traffic arraignment dockets on Tuesday at 8:30am and Wednesday at 5:30pm to discuss amending a moving violation.
Court clerks may not grant continuances on cases that have been scheduled for a plea docket.
Failure to appear at your scheduled plea docket may result in a warrant being issued for your arrest.
