In certain instances, the Court Clerks may process requests for traffic ticket amendments or reduced fines on certain moving violations. These amendments must be processed at the Court Clerk Office and cannot be handled online or by phone. For violations not eligible to be amended by the court clerk, you must appear on your court date and speak with a prosecutor about the violation not being recorded on your driving record. The prosecutor will consider your driving record and the circumstances surrounding your traffic offense. If the prosecutor agrees to amend your moving violation, fine amounts are generally doubled and all fines and fees are to be paid immediately. Prosecutors are available at traffic arraignment dockets at the Lenexa Municipal Court on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. and Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. to discuss amending a moving violation.
