If you are requesting House Arrest as an alternative to a jail penalty, you must complete the PDF referral form and fax it to the Johnson County Department of Corrections for consideration and assessment to determine if you qualify for the house arrest program.
1. The Municipal Court will only consider house arrest contracts from Johnson County Department of Corrections (JCDOC).
2. House Arrest assessments with JCDOC for municipal cases are only conducted on Thursdays.
3. It is your responsibility to provide a copy of your house arrest contract to the Court at the time of sentencing. Failure to have this completed may result in the denial of house arrest.

If the underlying offense is drug or alcohol related, a current copy of the substance abuse evaluation must also be provided to house arrest. If the case is in revocation status, a copy of the motion to revoke must be received by House Arrest. The referral form is available at http://corrections.jocogov.org/adult/documents/AHA-RF.pdf
Schedule appointment for assessment well in advance of sentencing date.
The appointment for a House Arrest assessment must be scheduled to take place at least one week prior to the court date. Appointments may be scheduled through any house arrest officer between the hours of 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM at 913.829.2227 (select option “0”).
Mandatory qualifications for participation in House Arrest Program.
Each person requesting participation in House Arrest must have the following:
1. Stable place to live.
2. Established analog land line telephone service without call notes, call forwarding or
DSL service.

*Nothing contained herein shall constitute an agreement to recommend house arrest or approval for house arrest. All agreements to recommend house arrest are subject to the discretion of the City Prosecutor. The approval of a house arrest contract is subject to the sole discretion of the Municipal Court Judge.
