Larry Schnackenberg has been found

Larry Schnackenberg, who has been missing since July 8, has been found, according to the Lenexa Police Department.

A Johnson County park patrol officer found Schnackenberg, 58, of Lenexa, walking along a trail approximately 2:20 p.m., today. He was taken to a local hospital for evaluation, Master Police Officer Dan Friesen said. Schnackenberg was reported missing the afternoon of July 8. His vehicle was discovered that same evening in Shawnee Mission Park.

“The Schnackenberg family and the Lenexa Police Department would like to thank the community for the heartfelt concerns and efforts to locate Mr. Schnackenberg. We are happy to inform you of this positive outcome. At this time, the family is attending to Larry’s medical needs. During this time of reunion please respect their privacy,” Friesen said.

The family plans to release a statement at a later time. Questions may be directed to MPO Dan Friesen, Lenexa Police Department, at 913-477-7737.
