Street maintenance coming for Candlelight Lane

As part of the city’s ongoing pavement management program, crews will be working on Candlelight Lane starting next week.

Beginning Monday, Aug. 2, Candlelight will be closed from Widmer to Park Street for reconstruction. The closure is expected to last about a week, weather permitting. Emergency vehicles will be allowed access if needed.

In addition, crews will mill and overlay Candlelight from 87th Street Parkway to Widmer and also from Park Street to the cul-de-sac. Motorists will be allowed to drive through this portion of the roadway during construction, and they should watch for flaggers and signs to direct them through the work zone.

More information about the city’s pavement management program is available on the web. The contractor for this project is McAnany Construction, Inc. Questions may be directed to Brett Burton, project inspector, at 913.927.4612.
