FULL TIME

Vacation Leave
Vacation leave is accrued at a rate of 3.08 hours for regular employees and 4.31 hours for shift firefighters per payroll. Vacation may be used as it is accrued, without a waiting period. Vacation may be carried over from one year to the next with a 240 hour limit for regular employees, and a 336 hour limit for shift firefighters.

Sick Leave
Sick Leave is accrued at a rate of 3.69 hours per pay period except for shift firefighters who accrue personal leave at a rate of 5.17 hours per pay period. Personal leave may be used as it is accrued, without a waiting period.

Holidays
The City provides 9 paid holidays and 2 personal holidays per year.

Bereavement
The City provides up to five (5) regularly scheduled work days (up to 3 firefighter shifts) depending on personal circumstances. Leave is granted to attend the funeral of an immediate family member.

REGULAR PART TIME (work over 20 hours per week)

Vacation Leave
Vacation leave is accrued at a rate of 1.54 hours for regular part-time employees per payroll. Vacation may be used as it is accrued, without a waiting period. Vacation may be carried over from one year to the next with a 120 hour limit for regular part-time employees.

Sick Leave
Sick Leave is accrued at a rate of 1.85 hours per pay period for regular part-time employees. Personal leave may be used as it is accrued, without a waiting period.

Holidays
The City provides 9 paid holidays and 2 personal holidays per year.

Bereavement
The City provides up to 3 regularly scheduled work days depending on personal circumstances. Leave is granted to attend the funeral of an immediate family member only.
