Healthy Yards Expo is March 28
Get the real dirt on growing green at the Johnson County Healthy Yards Expo, which will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 28 at the Shawnee Civic Centre. This event is sponsored by several area cities, including Lenexa. Tips on maintaining a healthy yard

Coffee with Cops on April 7
The Lenexa Police Department will host Coffee with Cops on Tuesday, April 7, from 8–9:30 a.m. at The French Bee Bakery (8805 Renner Blvd.). Stop by to discuss issues that are important to you over a free cup o' joe. Ask questions, share your insights, and get to know the officers who patrol our community.

Get funds to install rain garden, grow native plants
Have you ever thought about building a rain garden, growing native plants or installing a rain barrel in your yard? The city's Stormwater Cost-Share Program has grant funds to reimburse residents for 75% of project costs. Learn more or apply for reimbursement

Dumpster Days for bulky items is April 11–12
Need to get rid of stuff like furniture, appliances and electronic equipment? The next city-sponsored Dumpster Days weekend for residents will be held 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 11–12 at the Municipal Services Center (7700 Cottonwood St.). Various fees apply.

The Lenexa Police Department is planning a Coffee with a Cop event on Thursday, Jan. 29, from 9:30-11 a.m. at Perkins Restaurant (11200 W. 87th St. Pkwy.). Stop by to discuss issues that are important to you -- from crime trends and neighborhood nuisance issues to the Citizens' Police Academy.  Ask questions, share your insights, and get to know the officers who patrol our community.
